My dreams in April were very active and vivid. I have found myself waking up during the night, or the next morning, feeling like I was gaining instruction or experiences needed to help with my experience in the waking world. Quite frankly, there were nights that I woke up and knew that I had an extremely busy schedule in my dreams, but I remembered none of them.

The month of May is shaping up to be as active, vivid and exploratory in my dreams as April was. I'm absolutely ok with that. Last night I had a dream that left me this morning with a simple, yet inquisitive, question. In the dream I was staying at a vacation house rental. It was on a beach. It was night time and the house rental was active with other people. I understood in the dream that this was my last night in the house rental but the other people would be staying longer.

As I was walking about the house, I came to realize that the guys from one of my favorite bands, Mastodon, were also staying in the rental. Naturally, my inner-fan boy became quite excited by this but I didn't impose on them. Then one of the guitarists came to me. He asked:

"What can I do here to inspire my creativity?"

The guitarist wanted to know what events or activities he could take part in to further inspire new creativeness within himself. In the dream I was honored that he would ask a fan boy this question. I took a moment and said:

"You have the ocean. You have the beach. It's beautiful here at night."

I thought a bit longer about what else he could do as I wasn't satisfied with my response. I then said:

"Oh! You can ride Jet skis!!"

The guitarist then laughed and said he loved that idea. After we chatted, I went back to the room I was staying within the house rental and packed my bags. However, I wasn't focused on packing my bags. I was focused on the question he asked me, "What can I do here to inspire my creativity?". It was a reflective moment. A moment when I felt like my subconscious and/or Higher Self was providing me guidance to ask myself that question.

When I woke up, I thought about the question. I thought about what inspires my creativity. I thought about nature, wild horses and new experiences. I thought about reading new books and watching more documentaries. I thought about creatively collaborating with others, something I miss.

After having these thoughts, I then went to the park with Joy. I decided that at a minimum I can create a post about my experience. I also decided that I would take advantage of new experiences as they come into my life. Meeting new people, being in new locations and trying something outside of my comfort zones have always been the catalysts to my growth in life.

So...What can you do here to inspire your creativity?

Thank you for reading!

Matt
